Autumn is definitely my favourite season. From my Jewish side I enjoy feeling that it is the start of the year when new fruits can be eaten and life starts afresh. I love the colours. Everything becomes rich and plush, lit from a low sun heading to the autumnal equinox. It is also the best time to wear tweed and boy do we have some excitements for you!

We have designed and woven some incredibly exuberant new tweeds this season inspired by my trip to Mexico last year. The bold colours of the cities combined with the graphic architecture of the Aztecs provided such a rich stimulus.

James Lance, actor and great friend of Dashing has kindly been modelling the collections tailored for our store, showing them off to their best advantage, but of course we can tailor any silhouettes you desire.

We have named the cloth above Ignacio and as you can see it looks fabulous as an unstructured jacket paired with wider legged trousers. The relaxed cut reflects the joyous nature of the 10oz wool cloth. The scale of the check is a large six inch repeat in an almost ecstatic mix of magenta, yellow, lilac and charcoal.

This new bomber jacket works really well made up in our new design called Teo. It’s increasingly acceptable to wear more casual tailored pieces and this jacket with patch pockets and a generously wide collar strikes a good balance. The cloth is a medium weight 14oz tweed, woven in Scotland using a Donegal wool. The basket weave design in grey and yellow has a muted appearance but the neps of red, green and blue add a vitality.

George is more than happy to rest his head on the soft Donegal wool used in our new Teo design.

James looks fabulous pairing our Rivera tweed with his double denim shirts. There’s nothing we like more than folk wearing our cloth in their own style. Individuality and joie de vivre are the essence of Dashing.

The blue and red stripes feature a tessellated design reminiscent of Aztec pyramids lending a certain sportiness to this 17oz cloth. The weight is also ideal for a winter coat or even a bespoke skiing outfit.

The Herringbone design is one of our early classic urban tweeds, featuring a double red pinstripe with a grey and black herringbone structure. It tailors fabulously into coats and sports jackets. I love the way James rocks his look with a vintage red shirt, ready to hit the road and make the world a merrier place.

Do drop by our shop soon to view our new collection or we can also post you samples of our new tweeds. Everything at Dashing is going incredibly well, these new designs do tend to sell out fast.

If you wish to use our made to measure tailors then do allow at least six weeks. If you order something soon it will be ready end of October so bear that in mind if you have important dates ahead.
We look forward to seeing you soon.

Guy, Holly, Naomi and Lara.

PS a HUGE thank you to James Lance for his innate style and time spent modelling our new collection.
