After years of designing and weaving new tweeds for outfits we are excited to be launching ‘Dashing Home’ our offering of sophisticated woven textiles for your dwelling. To start the collection we have created an exclusive range of rugs which will transform any piece of furniture upon which they are placed. We’ve been encouraged by our most successful menswear design motifs to consider ‘what does your chair wish to wear’? Herringbones and block check patterns are essential wardrobe classics, and now we are offering these as throws for the home.
In addition, our tweeds have been used for cushions, curtains and special upholstery projects by a select few over the years. They have proven the test of time and we can advise you as to the best fabrics from our existing collection for use in interiors.
As a weave design studio we are fully equipped to design exclusive fabrics for individual home projects. We are able to produce CAD designs or handwoven fabric swatches. We are able to dye woollen yarns to match pantone references and then to weave any length of cloth from sixteen to several hundred metres in length using the best mills of England and Scotland.Â
Dashing Home
Most of our tweeds are already very suitable for home furnishings and make excellent cushions or curtains. Several of our customers have taken example of the sofa and chairs in the shop and used our heavier cloths for upholstery with great effect. Â
For the launch of Dashing Home we have designed and woven a small range of rugs. These have taken inspiration from our menswear collections and feature a block check pattern interspaced with a classic herringbone structure. Nearly two metres long and woven in the Scottish borders using soft Lambswool, the throws are well sized for draping over furniture, using as a bed spread or just cuddling up with on the sofa.
