The first time you relax in a reverie amidst the wafting swirl of cigar smoke is something you never forget. Whilst in sultry Havana during my twenties I first experienced the true pleasure of cigar smoking, in total contrast to a quick drag on a mates fag, lighting up a cigar takes time and leads the way to the indulgent activity of doing very little for as long as your hand rolled leaves take to smoulder to your finger tips. As with every activity, languid or otherwise, I find there is suitable attire to enhance the experience. In our speeded up times, relaxing and thinking are much needed and necessary activities and finding something to wear that puts you in the right frame of mind is vital. Of course history has previous solutions, the most obvious being the smoking jacket but these tailored pieces, often in rich velvet, tend towards the stuffy.

Our answer is the soft tailored cigar jacket at once elegant, practical and sophisticated.

The belted, collared cigar jacket which includes shirt style cuffs, a matching fabric belt and most importantly a top pocket tailored to hold at least 3 Churchills along with button side pockets for associated paraphernalia; lighters and cutters and such like.

For the tailoring we have collaborated with our dashing friend Gerald, an interesting man whose passions include jazz and cigars. His company Collarbone London designs and tailors shirts. As the jacket is unstructured it works very well when tailored in one of our medium weight cloths such as our peak designs or soft Donegal tweeds.

The cigar jackets are made to order, cost £750 and take 6 weeks to make, so do drop by to be measured up and we can start working on your new easy going look.
