For science fiction fans the world is an exciting place right now. Increasingly we are being forced to adopt to ideas that not so long ago were the fantasies of boys and girls who rarely left the safe retreat of a book under the duvet.

Clothing is an interesting reoccurring theme for futurists, will we have mood reactive clothing, organic wraps or just simply let a digital interface skin our avatar as it wishes.

Dressing for real life occasions is the most primitive of human desires and over the years the times that I have most enjoyed the spectacle and ritual of attire is during fashion weeks. London Fashion Week creates an arena in which creativity is everything and for generations ‘New’ has always been the buzz word.

The events are all about an exchange of ideas, from named designers kitting out strutting super models to fashion students peacocking their handcrafted ensembles.

London prides itself on creativity, never as commercial as our transatlantic cousins nor often as polished as our fellow Europeans, London offers an exciting rawness of talent in which emotion is the thrill.

The big question now is that given the dictum of the times can this translate in any iota to the digital realm? We shall find out. The imminent London Fashion Week kicks off on 17th September, with live streamed catwalk shows, videos, and more.

On the plus side a digital front row seat is now free to all but we shall see if it rocks your boat. Whether we like it or not we are now forced to boldly go where no fashionista has gone before.

With all of this in mind, we have also just launched our own YouTube channel, moving image is a great medium to portray emotion and atmosphere, so I hope you will follow our channel and check out our weekly film launches.
