COVID-19 and the Benefits of Wool
Before I mention that our Dashing shop will be by appointment only for the next few weeks, I thought I’d let you know how tweed can cheer you up.

Change is in the air at the moment and people react in different ways. The animalistic side of us is perhaps more used to changing environmental conditions. There is an innate understanding of biblical upheavals such as floods, fires, pestilence and frogs whereas our educated side is all about a stasis created by the perfection of repeated activity.
Tweed can not only comfort you physically but I feel the wearing of an animal based yarn can in someway enable you to adapt more readily to changing conditions. This may not be a thoroughly scientific idea but on the side of hard fact wool is renown for its antimicrobial qualities, it’s resistance to allergens and it’s ability to lower your heart rate and give you a good nights sleep. Add to this the shear enjoyment of wearing more colour and you can see that Tweed can definitely brighten your day.

As you may have a little more time to spare at the moment it might amuse you to listen to the podcast I was kindly invited to give by Jeremy, the charming founder of Blamo. It’s an excellent menswear focused podcast channel and full of interesting life stories to keep you entertained.
If you are at home and interested in sewing then making cushions in our fabric is a very rewarding activity. We have a large stock of fabulous designs and also discounted end off roll lengths which we will happily send you.

Having something to look forward to is always cheering so if you have ordered made to measure from us before we can make you something to the same measurements in our new spring fabrics or you are still able to drop by the shop and be measured up.
Back to the main point, our opening times may be variable at the moment so if you are planning on dropping by it’s best to send me a message by email, text (07831 548 068) or simply ring for a chat on 0207 486 6882 or my mobile.
