Every season we are adding to our collection of original British woven fabrics. Now we have around one hundred cloth designs to choose from, quite a decision for us when pondering which tweeds to use in our ready to wear collections. With this in mind we have passed the decision making onto you.

You could have a Lumatwill cycle blazer in yellow reflective tweed, a three piece suit for strolling in made up in one of our British wools or a party piece in our Merino Night Vibe cloth with a contrasting slim shawl collar. Enjoy the endless combinations of cloth and tailoring features with our new made to measure service.

Drop by our Mayfair store and we can guide you through the field of possibilities. The process is actually very straight forward, you try on one of our standard block patterns as a starting point and then the journey begins. Firstly we measure you up, ensuring the sleeves will be an arms length and the body a correct circumference.

Then on to the more interesting features, such as the depth of your notched collar or if you would prefer a peaked one on your jacket, if you would like trousers and a waistcoat or even plus fours. A double breasted jacket may be what you are looking for or just a simple patched pocket blazer. We can help you navigate through welted or jetted pocket options through to conundrums over working button cuff numbers and flower hole loops.

At this point you still have the joy of lining colour choice, whether it is nobler to match the tweed or for there to be a contrast. You may wish to use the cocoon fibres of Mulberry eating worms to juxtapose with the ovine hair of your tweed selection, another interesting option in the plain of preferences. Corozo trees produce a nut which is cut, polished and dyed to make buttons, you can choose one to match your jacket, or for animal lovers the choice of bovine horn or marine mother of pearl may be more fitting for the fastenings.

Once the peregrination of choices is over, you only have to wait a few weeks, generally around five, and the creation will appear, your vision an embodied reality in tweed. All for a starting price of £700.
