What  better recognition as the weave talent behind Dashing Tweeds than to be awarded a most prestigious prize in the latest Jerwood Show. Kirsty McDougall was awarded this honor  for our latest design, the New Dandy.

The show also featured one of Flora McLean’s beautifully witty hats and embroidery by Karen Nicol.

Cleverley’s the most exquisite of London shoe makers has created the Joelson bag. Using rescued shipwrecked Russian leather from  1786  and our McDougall Check design. The first was sold almost immediately but do let me know if you would like one. Guy

To Vienna for Fish and Chips Twice Please. Not a desperate plea for lunch in landlocked Austria, but a fabulously creative serving from Blighty. The exhibition Fish and Chips Twice Please curatored by the talented Polana Dolzan and Emma Bell show cased some of the most exciting new British designers. We were very honored to be included.

The exhibition in the freiraum quartier 21 in the Museum Quartier Wien is full of vibrant colour. Seen here is Emma Bell’s witty knitting and shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood, Londons hottest new shoe designer.

A few months ago now, and the Tweed Run still remains a close memory. Fabulously coordinated by Ted and lots of helpful organisers the run saw a very dandy set of enthusiasts cutting a dash through the traffic of central London.

With much gratitude to Louis from Hendricks gin, without the hand outs of cucumber sandwiches and of course a perfect gin and tonic the day would have proved far too gruelling. The beautiful Rover has an elegant interior kitted out in Dashing Tweeds.

So many of us that Savile Row is choc a block with tweed and cyclists. Many of the tailors overwhelmed by the sudden arrival of so many potential customers.

The Mecca for many a tweed clad young man, Huntsmans decorated its window most appropriately and then come out to greet the arrivals, along with Ted.

Just watching The Boat That Rock and I must say Bill Nighy does look excellent in his Dashing Tweeds suit. Joanna Johnston the talented costume designer choose the McDougall check. We now have our fabulous work shirts in stock in the same tweed. Do let me know if you want one, Guy.

What better way to cheer up January than through a tweed themed party. This house party organized by The White Blackbird and hosted at the fabulous Stoke Place country hotel in Stoke Poges was an awful lot of fun. As well as Scottish Reels and Fright adventures by The Lady Greys, one of the most amusing party games was a minature steeple chase. As can be seen, a very entertaining night.

We are very pleased that Philip Treacy the most esteemed hat maker has been using Dashing Tweeds for some of his collection. The above hat in the McDougall check is proving very popular.

We are very honored to be running advertising in the most fabulous men’s wear magazine The Rake. The image features Ian Bruce, a multi talented artist and performer who fronts The Correspondents. Seen here is the most beautifully tailored suit from Huntsman. The new fabric designs are inspired by weaves from the Bauhaus school and named after London landmarks, this one is called Centre Point. The cut of the coat is taken from white tie with the tail cut off. I wanted the overall look to be a jazz age adventure reminiscent of the art deco towers of New York. Perfect for a night on the tiles!
